1920s Makeup Tutorial Tips With Instruction

This 1920s makeup tutorial is perfect for brides to be looking to capture that Great Gatsby wedding vibe, and for any other die hard vintage makeup fan out there. There is no need to spend money on a makeup artist, when with a little practice you can apply your own stunning makeup. I like to take makeup tips from the past…and the 20s is one of my favorite makeup eras! This photo is one of my most pinned photos on Pinterest, so I thought I would do an article about 1920s makeup since we all seem to love taking inspiration from the roaring 20s!

I found these photos and 1920s makeup tutorials from this random Trends of the 1920s website when I thought I was having a Prohibition inspired wedding.

There are three different 1920s makeup looks that you can achieve in some very easy steps!

1. 1920s Natural

This is by far my favorite look! Face is stunning peaches and cream and the lips are rosy…perfect for the spring! Eyebrows are natural.

2. The 1920s Flapper

This look features bright cheeks and dark sultry eyes! Eyebrows are very thin and penciled. A great look for a night out on the town.

3. The 1920s Vamp

This is another fun play with makeup as there is NO BLUSH! Your eyes are dark, your lips are dark, but cheeks are completely neutral with only foundation. Eyebrows are dark and penciled. A great look for that romantic evening with your special someone.
