Best Clogs For Women: Fashion + Comfort + Cheap

My (in law) family is Swedish, and it’s no secret that Swedes take clogs for women seriously. I have always been a huge fan of clogs, I even wore a pair of custom made clogs for my wedding (see below).

Now that spring has sprung, all the fashionistas are strutting down the streets of NYC in some really beautiful clogs. Yes, some were still rocking the clog boots in the winter, but spring/summer clog, well that’s where the true clog beauty lies. The wood bottom is the perfect element for any spring/summer outfit.

Why wood? According to Troentorp Clogs:

Your foot is made up of many, many different bones, muscles and tendons that are under hundreds of pounds per square inch of pressure and stress. This tremendous pressure creates fatigue that is transmitted through your lower extremities. That’s why orthopedists create insoles and orthodics out of material that does not compress, twist or lose it’s integrity. Wood has all of these properties and more. Troentorp believes if they can support your feet properly, this fatigue is minimized.

Let’s take a look at my top picks for beautiful clogs at prices that won’t break the bank!

Clogs For Women: Who, What, & Wear…To Buy For Cheap

Let me preface by saying that clogs in general tend to be expensive. Swedish Hasbeens and No. 6 clogs (not on my list) can run you $200-$400 depending on the style. Cheap clogs are generally in the $140 range, with sales at $75-100. However, this is a great investment because:

  • Clogs last you FOREVER
  • They are always on trend. (Clogs have been around for hundreds of years, and they are not going anywhere)
  • Well made clogs are good for your feet!

1. Maguba Clogs

Maguba is my number one pick. They put the fun in clog fashion – their color palette is vast! Plus you can customize each and every shoe. They are all handmade. My custom made clogs for my wedding as seen below:

3. Dansko Clogs

Dansko has been making some serious strides to design more fashionable clogs…there was a time they were a bit too matronly for fashionistas. Dansko is also the only clog brand recommended by the American Podiatric Medical Association.

You can generally find them on sale, especially at Nordstrom. Check out my top picks below for their spring collection:

Mari Leather Mule

I’ve been seeing more and more mule heeled clogs on the streets of NYC (usually with a bit higher of a heel than below). These are a great comfort yet fashionable solution.
