NYC Shopping Guide Part 2: NYC Vintage Stores

Vintage clothing has always been my first love. It’s always in fashion if you style it right and therefore it can save you alot of money. Here are my top picks for the top 3 NYC Vintage Stores.

NYC Vintage Stores1. BROOKLYN FLEA

For the best and most unique vintage deals head over to the Brooklyn Flea. You never know what you’re going to find. The Brooklyn Flea is reminiscent of how the Hells Kitchen and Chelsea markets used to be – artists, vendors, and the most fantastic unknown finds you can ever find!

Founded in April 2008, Brooklyn Flea has grown into one of New York City’s top attractions, operating flea markets every weekend of the year that feature hundreds of top vendors of antique and repurposed furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles and antiques, as well as a tightly curated selection of jewelry, art, and crafts by local artisans and designers, plus delicious fresh food. The New York Times called the Flea “One of the great urban experiences in New York”; Travel + Leisure, Country Living, Budget Travel, and Fodor’s have ranked the Flea one of the best markets or antiques shows in the U.S. and the world; and Time Out NY named the Flea one of New York’s Essential Pick-Up Spots.

Rue is a gem of vintage in the East Village. I bought a beautiful coat here 10 years ago that I still treasure. You must go. It’s in a fun part of the East Village right by Thompson Square. If you do stop by here, make sure to go to Caracas for really cheap and yummy arepas.
They supply alot of clothes to movies and television, so pick up your threads before the stars do 😉
